Q8 What should you note when measuring with a thermocouple thermometer?

What counts most is that the thermometers are designed to measure the temperature of a hot junction (temperature sensing part) only.
In the case of the thermocouples, “the hot junction is brought into contact with a measurement object to receive the heat therefrom, the temperature of the hot junction is made equal to that of the measurement object, thus measuring just the temperature of the hot junction.”
This is a simple, but very significant concept.
Specific measuring precautions are described in Q9 and Q10. They are based on this concept.
