JCSS (Japan Calibration Service System) was established to secure measurement traceability based on the provisions of Chapter 8 of the Measurement Act. Under the System, the International Accreditation Japan (abbreviated as IAJapan) of the National Institute of Technology and Evaluation, an accreditation body, examines and accredits that the technical capabilities and traceability of a business establishment, which constitute the measuring instruments, satisfy the standards of the ISO/IEC 17025 (JIS Q 17025), international standards accredited by a calibration body.
Calibration service based on the technical standards defined by a business operator accredited by this Institute is called JCSS calibration.
